The beauty of color harmony is all around us in nature—a rich sunset over a mountain horizon, a sparkling blue ocean against a sandy shore, a field of vibrant wildflowers. But this harmony isn’t just in nature; each of us is created in perfect color harmony too.
Personal color analysis is the process of discovering the colors that naturally complement your unique features, allowing your true beauty to shine. It’s about embracing the hues that make you feel confident, radiant, and authentically you.
Simply stated, personal color analysis is the process of analyzing someone’s natural coloring to identify a range of harmonious colors. Once identified, a particular color tone can then be used to streamline decision-making regarding wardrobe, makeup, jewelry, nail color, and more!
Does your coloring need warm hues? Cool hues? Cool-neutral? Warm-neutral? Do you need striking and strong colors? Soft and gentle colors? Light value? Or, Dark?
These are all things we will discover during your color analysis!

Personal Color Analysis (PCA) helps you understand which colors complement your natural features. Wearing colors that harmonize with your skin/hair/eyes, can enhance your overall appearance and increase confidence.
PCA also provides you with a personalized color palette that serves as a guide for selecting clothing, makeup, and accessories. This saves you time and money by ensuring that every item you choose aligns with your color profile, creating a cohesive and radiant look.
Beyond aesthetics, a color analysis can open up new possibilities for experimentation and self-expression! It allows you to explore a broader range of colors that you may have overlooked before.
Whether you're a business professional, leader, teacher, entrepreneur, speaker, blogger, influencer, stay-at-home mom, actor, realtor, or student, a color analysis empowers you to make informed choices about your style, boosts your self-confidence, and helps you put your best foot forward in any situation. It is a valuable investment in yourself that can have a lasting impact on how you look and feel.

At Color Rx, I am certified by True Colour International and use the advanced, 12-Tone TCI Method - a state-of-the-art color analysis system. This system is grounded in the science of natural color harmony, integrating an accurate interpretation of the Munsell color system, full-spectrum light theory, and insights from human physiology and psychology to reveal your natural color palette.
Traditional color analysis categorized people into four true seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn. These were based on either cool (Winter and Summer) or warm (Autumn and Spring) undertones.
However, we now understand that most people’s undertones are neither purely cool nor warm but fall somewhere in between.
This is where the TCI Method comes in. By drawing inspiration from the colors found in nature, the TCI Method expands on the original four seasons by adding eight neutral seasons, creating a total of 12 tonal seasons (i.e., tones). These 12 color palettes encompass the full spectrum of human coloring, offering a more nuanced and personalized approach to finding your perfect colors. It’s a fascinating process that reveals the true beauty in every individual.
With the TCI method of color analysis, I place specially calibrated drapes next to your natural features and discover how color affects your appearance. I am trained to help you see how the wrong colors can overpower you or create optical illusions that actually change your appearance. When I find your perfect colors, your natural beauty comes into focus, and YOU are able to shine!
The TCI Community is rooted in the qualities of kindness and integrity. Each person chosen to be a TCI analyst is here to encourage and help our clients and one another in our quest to be the best version of ourselves!

90 - 120 minute consultation.
Feel free to wear something comfortable. Do not wear makeup, concealer or sunless/self-tanner. No Sunburns or heavy sun exposure at least 1 week before the appointment. This is necessary to ensure an accurate result. Please also avoid perfume, as it wears off on to the drapes. If you wear glasses, I will ask you to remove them periodically during the analysis, so clear contact lenses may be a better option.
See the “preparing for your appointment” link at top of the home page for more details. -
Colored or highlighted hair will be covered with a neutral grey cap during the analysis to ensure an accurate result. It can be removed at the end if you would like a photo in one of the drapes in your season. We can also discuss natural hair colors that fall in your color tone.
Natural gray hair is no problem, it’s just that - natural. No need to cover your hair for the analysis.

YES! If you want to bring a friend (or two), please let me know in advance. Color analysis is such a fun way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, graduation, or new life adventure! Due to the length of service, children under the age of 10 are not recommended unless receiving a service themselves. Nursing mothers and infants are welcome.

If you were analyzed in a different method, it is very likely you will have a different result. If you were typed in the 4 Season Method (which only has options for warm or cool undertones), you will likely get a different, more specific result with the 12-Tone Method because it has options for neutral (warm-neutral or cool-neutral) undertones, which is 2/3 of the population. This method is more scientific, reliable and proven beyond the 4 Season approach. It's a great way to get the most accurate and specific result.
Similarly, if you were analyzed virtually or digitally, it is very likely you will have a different result. Digital images are unreliable; computer monitor calibration varies widely and does not present color accurately.

I am a certified color analyst trained in the True Colour International 12 Tone personal color analysis method. If you were analyzed in a different method, it is highly likely you will end up with a different result!
If you were previously typed in a 4 Season system (which only has options for warm or cool undertones), you will likely get a more specific (and possibly altogether different) result with the TCI 12 Tone approach to color analysis. TCI's 12 Tone method has options for neutral undertones. It is estimated that two thirds of the population are one of the 8 warm-neutral or cool-neutral tones. The TCI method is a more reliable, more detailed, and scientific approach than the 4 Season System. It's a great way to get the most accurate and specific result available in the marketplace today.
Similarly, if you had your colors done virtually or digitally, it is very likely you will have a different result. Simply put, as discussed above, digital or virtual analysis is faulty. Digital images are unreliable; computer monitor color calibration varies widely and doesn’t present color accurately; colors from the environment around us (lighting, wall color, furnishings, etc) also affect our coloring, leading to inaccurate and incorrect results.
-
Video is not allowed during the color analysis and photos are by permission only. The drapes and the analysis process are the intellectual property of TCI and are protected from media use. You will have the opportunity at the end of the session to take a beautiful photo in one of your drapes and also a “before” photo. It’s amazing to see the comparison.

YES! For accurate results, you must be in person. TCI does not endorse virtual color analysis! In order to achieve accurate results, in-person color analysis is imperative. It is simply not possible to guarantee color accuracy online - too many variables exist. Digital images are unreliable. Computer monitor calibration varies widely and does not present color accurately. In the studio, we go to extreme lengths to create a controlled environment - full spectrum lighting is key here - that allows us to see your coloring accurately; this is near impossible to do online or through pictures.
I use a standardized process with professionally calibrated drapes, full spectrum lighting, and maintain a neutral gray space to ensure nothing alters my results.

Group color analysis appointments at Color Rx Studio offer the exact same content as an individual appointment, but I am able to cover the educational portions as a group. Rest assured, each client has their time in the spotlight. The same length of time is allotted for each individual’s color draping regardless of appointment type booked! Color analysis is fun to experience with a friend or loved one. Often, clients report learning even more while watching their partner’s draping.
