Preparing for your Appointment

I want you to have the best experience possible! Come ready to relax, have fun, and learn! To ensure the most accurate results, please follow the guidelines below.

Skin: Please do not spray tan, self-tan, have a heavy sunburn, or any kind of treatment on your face that could leave your skin red and sensitive before your appointment. (Plan higher strength chemical peels, micro needling, and treatments alike after your Color Analysis appointment.) We will be removing any make up (including tinted moisturizer and eye makeup) prior to your analysis. If you are coming from home, you are welcome to arrive with no makeup. It is best to have your skin in its most natural state in order to see how the drapes affect the appearance of your skin. With that being said; I do have makeup remover!

Eyes: If you wear glasses, they will need to be taken off during the analysis. If you are concerned that you will be unable to see clearly and have contact lenses, please wear those instead. Please avoid wearing any colored or tinted contacts that change the natural color of your eyes as it could affect your results.

Hair: I will be covering your hair with a neutral colored cap if it contains any toner, dye or highlights.

Perfume: Please do not wear perfume, fagrance, essential oils, or tobacco smoke. Some clients are very sensitive and once the smell permeates the drapes it can be very difficult to remove.

Clothing: Please avoid wearing a high collared shirt or shirt with bulk around the neck (like a hoodie). A crew neck, v-neck or button-down shirt is best. You will be wearing a cape over your clothing so you may wish to dress in layers if you tend to run warm.

Allergies: Please let us know if you have any allergies to foods, drinks, fabrics, or animals.

Alcohol: Please avoid consuming alcohol before your session, as it can affect the way we perceive your skin. Drinking often causes flushing.

Pictures: Please refrain from taking any pictures during the analysis. The drapes are proprietary information of True Colour International. At the end of your color analysis, I will take a picture of you in your one of your favorite tonal drapes and TCI swatch book. If you wish to film for social media, please inform me at the beginning of the session so we can arrange something.

Time: Please allow 1.5-2 hours for your session, or longer if you’re in a group. Due to the length of the consultation and service, I recommend that children under 10 do not attend unless supervised by another adult. Nursing babies are welcome.

After: Once your color palette is determined, we will look through it and talk about suggestions for clothing, accessories and makeup. Please feel free to bring some of your favorite items of clothing or accessories (think glasses, shirts, dresses, accessories or makeup) to swatch. Following your appointment you will receive a follow-up email detailing your new Tone, including makeup and color combination recommendations.

Payment: All appointments require a 50% deposit. The fee collected is applied to your total the day of your appointment, and the remaining balance is due at your appointment. You may also pay for the entire amount up front. Your session is non-refundable, and a cancellation fee may apply at our discretion. If you need to cancel or reschedule, your deposit will be applied to your new appointment date when you reschedule within one year. I understand that life happens, just please remember to communicate with me if something arises. My contact information/location/parking information is provided at the bottom of your appointment confirmation email.
